Background information: The GNSO Policy Development Process is the process by which the GNSO develops DNS related policies. As part of GNSO Improvements, the PDP Working Team (WT) was tasked to review the existing GNSO PDP with the objective to improve inclusiveness and representativeness in the GNSO's work while increasing its effectiveness and efficiency. As a result, the PDP-WT presented the GNSO Council with a new Annex A of the ICANN Bylaws and a PDP Manual, which were subsequently adopted by the GNSO Council and the ICANN Board. The revised PDP will apply to all PDPs initiated from now on and, in addition, the GNSO Council decided that all ongoing PDPs should be transitioned to the revised PDP.Security and Stability Advisory Committee advises the ICANN community and Board on matters relating to the security and integrity of the Internet's naming and address allocation systems.
