La AEDIT es una asociación sin fines de lucro, cuyo objetivo principal es el promover el desarrollo de la investigación, capacitación y actualización de los profesionales ecuatorianos en los campos del Derecho Informático, la Informática Jurídica y el derecho de las Telecomunicaciones.
Tiene sede en la ciudad de Quito, en Ecuador pero su aporte y participación incluye la región andina, Latinoamérica y el mundo. It is based in the city of Quito in Ecuador but their contribution and participation includes the Andean region, Latin America and the world.
Fue creada el 20 de febrero del año 2003 y en la actualidad se proyecto como una asociación de la sociedad civil que aporta significativamente en el debate del nuevo marco jurídico que haga de la sociedad de la información una realidad para todos . It was created on 20 February 2003 and is currently project as a civil society association that contributes significantly to the debate of the new legal framework that makes the information society a reality for everyone.
