  Julf Helsingius: (04:57) good afternoon

Julf Helsingius: (04:58) someone has a very noisy mic

Bernard Turcotte Staff Support: (05:00) hello all

Herb Waye Ombuds: (05:00) Greetings all...

Abdeldjalil Bachar Bong: (05:01) hello everyone

Julf Helsingius: (05:01) "nothing ever happens..."

Kavouss Arasteh: (05:02) I am attending now

Farzaneh Badii: (05:02) I don't have any updates thanks :)

Kavouss Arasteh: (05:09) Steve may we have scrol possibility

Kavouss Arasteh: (05:12) May you kindly increase the size

  Kavouss Arasteh: (05:12) scrol pls

Rinalia Abdul Rahim: (05:13) staff, pls release scrolling.

Brenda Brewer: (05:13) scroll is on now

Rinalia Abdul Rahim: (05:13) thank you, Brenda.

  Brenda Brewer: (05:14) You're welcome

  Kavouss Arasteh: (05:14) no sound

  Kavouss Arasteh: (05:14) NO AUDIO

Alan Greenberg: (05:15) Understood, but some issues are not as easy to ferret out of the web site.

Farzaneh Badii: (05:15) audio is fine here, might it be a problem on your side Kavouss?

Brenda Brewer: (05:15) i will call you back Kavouss.  The sound is fine.

Kavouss Arasteh: (05:15) THEN I am disconnected

Kavouss Arasteh: (05:16) I AM DISCONNECTED

Brenda Brewer: (05:16) I am calling you Kavouss

Alan Greenberg: (05:17) Steve, all I was saying that as completing the answers, that was NOT something I focused on DESPITE the Bylaw and my history with this project. It was not something I focused on.

matthew shears: (05:17) we should see this as iterative

Alan Greenberg: (05:17) Once something has been vetted, going back and revising may be problematic - not related to this group's rules.

Kavouss Arasteh: (05:22) Tks ,then emphasize that in our report

Kavouss Arasteh: (05:24) Pls clarfy the independent process

Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO): (05:25) noted Greg

Kavouss Arasteh: (05:28) Tks Steve for clarification and  reference provided

Rinalia Abdul Rahim: (05:28) I personally like the approach of establishing best practices on transparency as a guide/benchmark for SO/ACs. Some SO/ACs are likely to exceed the baseline, and that is fine.

Olga Cavalli: (05:28) sorry im late

Kavouss Arasteh: (05:29) Steve, are we making a summary of the replies or what?

  Kavouss Arasteh: (05:29) tks

jorge villa (ASO): (05:29) +1 Rinalia

  Julf Helsingius: (05:30) it does

Bernard Turcotte Staff Support: (05:32) no soun d

Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO): (05:32) I personally agree with you Rinalia

jorge villa (ASO): (05:32) All the SO/ACs are different in structure, composition, interests and functioning. The best practices approach might provide a common ground on the recommended aspects

Farzaneh Badii: (05:33) I like how the recommendations on transparency is done on page 3

matthew shears: (05:33) agree with the approach Steve - sets a good precedent for the work going forward

Farzaneh Badii: (05:33) it is to the point, does not call out on any group

Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO): (05:36) all ALAC, RALO and At-Large  meetings unless specifically declared as going into 'camera' for closed to Members only with declared reason are Open, Recorded ( often in several language options) Transcripts made and where relevant minuted... And all are published to public wki and lists

Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO): (05:37) thx Steve

Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO): (05:37) attending another AC call atm

Alan Greenberg: (05:40) We even have interpretation for meetings where it is not actually needed so tht others can later listen or read.

  Alan Greenberg: (05:40) (some meetings)

Bernard Turcotte Staff Support: (05:41) we can reach out to them

Farzaneh Badii: (05:42) shall we work on outreach next?

Farzaneh Badii: (05:42) as a part of participation

Farzaneh Badii: (05:43) I think those that function differently can take these recs or leave it

Cheryl Langdon-Orr (CLO): (05:43) seems a good suggestion Farzi we will check with the group

Julf Helsingius: (05:43) Yes, there are (justified) exceptions

Farzaneh Badii: (05:44) we are not in charge of implementation if they see the recs are not fit, they don't have to do it

Farzaneh Badii: (05:46) yes I agree

avri doria: (05:47) apologies for not having sent in the GNSO-NCSG data before now.  Just sent it to Steve.

Alan Greenberg: (05:47) It is not OUR job, but that job description might be written one day.

Bernard Turcotte Staff Support: (05:48) Time cheeck 12 minutes left in meeting

Alan Greenberg: (05:48) Steve, in light of this meeting, I will have a revised version before the end of the day, so perhaps wait until you see that to integrate ALAC.

Steve DelBianco: (05:49) okay Alan.  I will add this Transparency bit to the Google Doc next

jorge villa (ASO): (05:49) In the world of network operations, the best practices are recommendations (based on the experience of the community). no one has the obligation of do everything includes on the best practices recommendations. We asume it as main topics to consider (if possible).

Steve DelBianco: (05:50) I think that matches our concept here, Jorge

  Julf Helsingius: (05:50) I agree

Steve DelBianco: (05:51) where Outreach is an activity that is an aspect of participation

  Farzaneh Badii: (05:51) yes :)

Steve DelBianco: (05:52) Farzi -- would you be able to lead that drafting?

  Farzaneh Badii: (05:52) I will

Farzaneh Badii: (05:52) I think I have to do Copenhagen remotely too :)

Farzaneh Badii: (05:52) I am waiting for Exectuive Order today

Steve DelBianco: (05:53) Is your status in the US in jepoardy from that order, Farzi?

Farzaneh Badii: (05:53) I can't re-enter the US. they might not allow me

Farzaneh Badii: (05:53) but waiting for the execuitve order ...

Bernard Turcotte Staff Support: (05:54) time check: 5 minutes left in call

Nigel Hickson: (05:55) @Farzaneh - I hope it allows you!

Bernard Turcotte Staff Support: (05:55) +1

  Farzaneh Badii: (05:55) thanks nigel

  Farzaneh Badii: (05:55) thanks cheryl

Kavouss Arasteh: (05:56) it would others that may be concerned

Bernard Turcotte Staff Support: (05:56) thanks - bye all

Herb Waye Ombuds: (05:56) Have a great day everyone...

  Nigel Hickson: (05:56) Goodbye

  Farzaneh Badii: (05:56) bye

  Julf Helsingius: (05:56) thanks
