- Results of the ALAC vote was to accept the regional advice to accredit the The Ecuadorian Association for Free Software ALS and the Ecuadorian Association for Free Software was accredited as the 40th ALS in LACRALO

- Efforts to continue the capacity building sessions will continue by having a presenter discuss a particular topic related to a policy out for comment starting with the LACRALO 19.04.2012 Teleconference call.
March 2012
- Two conference calls by the LACRALO Events WG were held in March before the ICANN meeting in Costa Rica to plan the LACRALO events in Costa Rica.

- During Costa Rica, three types of events by LACRALO were carried out - the Capacity Building Sessions, LACRALO Showcase, and General Assembly. Refer to these pages for links to audio, video and transcripts of these sessions.
- Concerns were expressed by several ALSes on the LACRALO mailing list and on the At-Large Skype chat regarding the regional advice to not accredit the ALS applications for Association of Notary Public Professionals of Uruguay and National Association for Digital Inclusion. At the ALAC & Regional Leadership Wrap-up Meeting on Wednesday March 14 2012 in Costa Rica, the ALAC chair announced the cancellation of the current ALAC votes regarding these two ALSes. LACRALO is to provide its advice again to the ALAC regarding the two ALS applications.
- Regional Advice given on ALS application Internet Society Chapter Trinidad and Tobago (ISOCTT) to accredit this ALS. At the ALAC & Regional Leadership Wrap-up Meeting on Wednesday March 14 2012 in Costa Rica, the ALAC voted to accept the regional advice and ISOCTT was accredited as the 39th ALS in LACRALO
