Recommendation 1Dotless Domains: The Security and Stability Advisory Committee (SSAC) provides a brief comment on the Proposed Amendments to Base New Generic Top Level Domain (gTLD) Registry Agreement. Specifically, Section 1.2 of Exhibit A (Approved Services) introduces new text relating to the potential provision of non-delegation records in a TLD's apex, thereby introducing unnecessary ambiguity regarding the permissibility of dotless domains.
