For the very first time, simultaneous interpretation will be available for a select number of ccNSO sessions at an ICANN public meeting.  The enhanced language support is part of a pilot project, which covers simultaneous interpretation in English French, and Spanish for ICANN75, ICANN76, and ICANN77.   ICANN has integrated remote simultaneous interpretation (RSI) into Zoom. Watch the "How-to" guide on how to use this new feature.

This integration allows participants who have downloaded the Zoom application, to click a single button within the Zoom meeting or webinar to access the interpretation of the available languages. Participants, including English speakers, should select the language they will speak or listen to by clicking on the Interpretation icon located on Zoom toolbar.

Are you new to the ccNSO, or would like to learn more? Join ccNSO Council Vice Chair Biyi Oladipo (.ng) for a 1-hour ccTLD Webinar for newcomers. Biyi will help you to gain an understanding of the work of the ccNSO, what to expect from the ccNSO at the ICANN75 Annual General Meeting, as well as how ccTLD community representatives can participate in the important work that affects you and your region.

ccNSO Council Election Webinar

The 3-year term for five members of the ccNSO Council will end in March 2023. Mid-September,  the ccNSO will open a call for nominations to fill those seats. Are you considering running as a candidate for the ccNSO Council? Would you like to learn more about the ccNSO Council and the need to nominate candidates? We kindly invite you to participate in the ccNSO Council Election Webinar. ccNSO Council Chair Alejandra Reynoso, as well as other Councillors and ccNSO Secretariat will provide you with an overview of the election process and address the need to replace Councillors at reasonable and regular intervals. Moreover, you will receive further information about the required skill sets for Councillors, the time commitment and working methods of the ccNSO Council.  The webinars will be recorded, and there will be an opportunity to ask questions. The announcement about the call for nominations and other relevant news will be posted here.

The ccNSO DNS Abuse Standing Committee (DASC) will hold a working session at ICANN75, and will discuss among others its outreach efforts, including a survey which aims to gather information as useful input for next steps by the DASC. 

About DASC

The DASC is the core of the ccTLD community-driven process around DNS Abuse. DASC was created as a dedicated forum for ccTLD Managers to discuss the important topic of DNS Abuse and to share information, insights, and practices.  In keeping with the nature of the ccNSO, the purpose of the Committee is not to formulate any policy or standards, recognising that policy development in this area is out of scope of the ccNSO policy remit.  The overarching purpose is to raise understanding and awareness of the issues pertaining to DNS Abuse, promote open and constructive dialogue, and ultimately to assist ccTLD Managers in their efforts to mitigate the impact of DNS Abuse.

About IGLC

The IGLC has been established to coordinate, facilitate, and increase the participation of ccTLD managers in discussions and processes pertaining to Internet Governance.  The Committee will take a proactive role in seeking and fostering participation and input into the processes and provide regular feedback to the ccNSO Council, ccNSO members and broader ccTLD community.
