The Security, Stability, and Resiliency Review is mandated by ICANN Bylaws (Section 4.6(c)), to periodic review of ICANN’s execution of its commitment to enhance the operational stability, reliability, resiliency, security, and global interoperability of the systems and processes, both internal and external, that directly affect and/or are affected by the Internet’s system of unique identifiers that ICANN coordinates.
The Board took action on 10 March 2022 to defer the Third Review of Security, Stability and Resiliency of the Domain Name System. See the Board resolution here.

*The first Security, Stability, and Resiliency (SSR) Review was initiated under the Affirmation of Commitments (AoC). Further to a recommendation made by the Cross-Community Working Group on Enhancing ICANN Accountability (Work Stream 1), AoC Reviews were incorporated into ICANN Bylaws in May 2016 as a result of the IANA Stewardship Transition.
