ccNSO DNS Abuse Session Tuesday, 8 March 2022 | 14:30 - 16:00 UTC

Session Chair:
About this session:
This session builds on previous work during ICANN72, when ccTLDs and the broader community suggested areas - with respect to DNS Abuse - for the ccNSO to get involved in. Since then, the ccNSO Council has been working on a roadmap, which focuses on enhanced information sharing and other elements within scope of the ccNSO. During ICANN73, Council will present the roadmap, consult the ccTLDs present, and discuss next steps. Materials will be shared ahead of the session. Council expects to adopt the roadmap at their meeting during ICANN73, scheduled for Thursday, 10 March 2022.

Governance ccNSO
ccNSO Governance Session Tuesday, 8 March 2022 | 16:30-18:00 UTC
Session Recordings
Session Chair:
About this Session:
During this session, the ccNSO Guideline Review Committee (GRC) will present their first draft of the ccNSO Conflict of Interest (COI) proposals and the ccNSO internal procedures with respect to the role of the ccNSO as member of the Empowered Community. The GRC seeks input and feedback from the ccNSO community and other stakeholders.
Moreover, this session informs the ccNSO membership about the voting regarding the adoption of the internal rules of the ccNSO. ICANN72 marked the 4th ccNSO Governance Session, building on the previous sessions and consultations since ICANN69 where the ccNSO Council and Members have been discussing the need to update the internal rules of the ccNSO, which were adopted in 2004. Throughout 2021, a ccNSO Working Group held various consultations with the ccNSO membership to identify issues, find solutions and update about progress. In January 2022, the Working Group finalized its draft, which will soon be put before the ccNSO membership for adoption. The new Rules will have a direct impact on the governance structure of the ccNSO, specifically on the respective roles and responsibilities of the Council and ccNSO membership.
