PROPOSED AGENDA

  1. Roll Call & SOI Updates
  2. Welcome & Chair Updates
  3. Continued Discussion of Losing FOA
    1. Updated Polling Questions
  • *Note: We thought that now that the group has had time to digest Sarah’s outline, we could re-administer the polling questions to see if we can get clearer agreements on what notifications (if any) the WG believes should be required and why or why not.
  • *Note: This would be helpful for Support Staff’s development of candidate recommendations for the Losing FOA. We are in the process of updating the previous polling questions [docs.google.com] in line with Sarah’s prescribed steps. If you think this approach makes sense, please feel free to update as you see fit.

               b. Further discussion of Transfer Steps & Notifications [docs.google.com]

  • *Note: Following the polling questions, the group can further discuss any outstanding questions or concerns regarding Sarah’s outlined steps before moving on to the next topic.
  • *Note: During our last call, we captured an action item for groups to review the reasons for transfer denial/NACK-ing, but we wanted to flag that this is a charter question for Phase 2 of the WG’s work. Specifically, charter question h1 provides, “Are the current reasons for denying or NACK-ing a transfer sufficiently clear? Should additional reasons be considered? For instance, ICANN Contractual Compliance has observed difficulties from registrars tying transfer denials involving domain names suspended for abusive activities to the denial instances contemplated by the Transfer Policy; or should any reasons be removed?” This does not prevent the WG from discussing how this topic relates to the Losing FOA, but we thought we would flag thisas an FYI.

     4. Introduction of Gaining FOA Working Document [docs.google.com] Overview and Charter Questions

  • *Note: Support Staff to provide the overview then turn it over to Roger.
