Staff developed this document based on our encapsulation of the Sub Team discussions during meetings and on mailing lists by 14 May 2019.

• It consolidates the Sub Team’s draft proposed answers to the agreed charter questions that the Sub Team has discussed by 14 May.
• It also consolidates draft preliminary recommendations in relation to agreed charter questions and reflects how they correspond to the proposed answers.
• “Tentative” text colored in orange are either potential amendment to draft preliminary recommendations as a possible result of the Sub Team review of Individual Proposals or initial ideas/concepts/proposals the Sub Team discussed/considered.
• It includes a snapshot of the Sub Team’s review of all individual proposals by 14 May.
• Staff provided comments on the side to indicate either the overall status of each agreed charter question or additional staff note.

Compared to the 17 May 2019 version, this updated version has the following changes:

• Added a new Table 1 that provides a snapshot of the Sub Team’s deliberations on all questions, highlighting “open items” based on staff’s preliminary assessment
• In Table 2, included draft text for Q2 and Q5 based on transcripts, chats, discussion thread comments
• Updated text for Q1, Q3, and Q4, incorporating Sub Team’s input provided during meetings on 22 May, 29 May, and 5 June, as well as input from discussion threads and Q4 Google Doc
• Added a new column for proposed question for community input (if any)
• Per Sub Team’s suggestion, removed all discussions/debates/deliberations, particularly for questions that the Sub Team has diverging opinions
• To facilitate discussions of Q4, posted Sub Team members’ proposed answers and proposed questions for community input from the Q4 Google Doc
• Updated color coding: Grey text – discussions during meetings; green text – excerpts from discussion threads; blue text – excerpts from Q4 Google Doc; red text – staff notes. All colored text are deliberations, which will NOT be included in the “status check” document when it is finalized
• Updated Table 3 that provides a snapshot of Sub Team’s review of individual proposals, based on Co-Chairs’ preliminary assessment

The Summary Table reflects the review by the Trademark Claims Sub Team of all three sets of Trademark Claims related data with a view toward answering the agreed Charter questions. The contents of this summary table reflect the input/comments provided by Sub Team members via Google Doc homework assignments and during Sub Team meetings.

To facilitate the review of Analysis Group survey results. The spreadsheet includes:

• Agreed questions based on refinements of the original charter questions
• Survey questions by Analysis Group
• TMCH Data Sub Team’s draft survey questions in the original data request table
• Response to each survey question, including open text response
• Key findings by Analysis Group

To assist the analysis as to whether, and how, the Analysis Group survey results answer each of the final agreed Charter questions.

• Sunrise Charter questions 1, 2, 3, 4(a), and 5 were directly included in Analysis Group's development of the surveys.

• Clarifying Note: The other sub questions of the agreed Charter Question 4 were not directly included in developing the surveys. They are nevertheless included in the Sub Team review as the survey results may be relevant to answering these agreed sub questions.

To facilitate the Trademark Claims Data Review Sub Team's analysis as to whether, and how, the previously collected Trademark Claims data answer each of the final agreed Charter questions. The spreadsheet includes:

• Source Tab: Direct download links to the Trademark Claims data collected between December 2016 and March 2018, including reports, slides, and other documents.
• Trademark Claims Tab: Excerpts, as well as the relevant page/slide reference, from the previously collected data that staff believe may assist in answering the final agreed Charter questions. Summaries of the excerpts are included in Column B.

• The excerpts cited by Staff are nonexclusive; Sub Team members are welcome to download and reference the actual documents, linked from the Source Tab, to cite relevant information that may help answer the final agreed Charter questions.
  

To assist the analysis as to whether, and how, the previously collected Trademark Claims data answer each of the final agreed Charter questions.

• Clarifying Note: Staff could not identify previously collected Sunrise data that may be relevant in answering Charter Question 5. It is nevertheless included in the Sub Team review as the Sub Team members are welcome to download and reference the actual documents, linked from the Source Tab of the analysis tool, to cite relevant information that may help answer this Charter question.

WG members may suggest additional data to the Sunrise and Claims sub teams that may either: (1) yield useful data we do not currently have, or (2) be other specific, evidence-based information that, in either case, can help shed light on the agreed Charter questions for Sunrise and/or Claims.
