Will ICANN consider the transfer of the registry, by assignment or stock sale, from one wholly-owned subsidiary to another wholly-owned subsidiary of the same corporate parent be considered an "assignment" under Section 7.5 of the Registry Agreement so as to require ICANN approval? Answer. Yes, ICANN a transfer of the registry from the entity that submitted an application to any other entity would be an “assignment” under Section 7.5.
