16 December 2011 Requests for exemption to the Code of Conduct will be reviewed by ICANN on a case-by-case basis. In general, registrations must be for the exclusive use of Registry Operator, and permitting third-party use of domain names (even if such names are ultimately under the control of Registry Operator) may require Registry Operator to comply with the Code of Conduct. Refer to Knowledge Base Article #030040 – Exclusive Use for more information on exclusive use.
