Question. If I apply for .thing, would the translation of the term "thing" in other languages also be protected in the new gTLD?




Answer. Each applied-for gTLD string requires its own application. ".thing" would be one application. A translation of ".thing" in Arabic characters, for example, would be another application. For questions about "protection" of particular strings, please refer to the Applicant Guidebook for information about the New gTLD Objection procedures.
