00:19:28 Kimberly Carlson: Welcome to today’s ccPDP4 IDN VM sub working group on 25 May at 14:00 UTC. Attendance will be taken based on those on Zoom. As a reminder, the call is recorded - and recording will be posted on the public wiki: https://community.icann.org/x/9QOlCQ 00:23:29 Dennis Tan: Perhaps it would be useful to read the copy of 26.10 to understand the context 00:24:14 Dennis Tan: Yes… let me find it 00:24:36 Dennis Tan: Yes, okay 00:26:27 Dennis Tan: Implementation Guidance 26.10: The application submission system should do all feasible algorithmic checking of TLDs, including against RZ-LGRs and ASCII string requirements, to better ensure that only valid ASCII and IDN TLDs can be submitted. A proposed TLD might be algorithmically found to be valid, algorithmically found to be invalid, or verifying its validity may not be possible using algorithmic checking. Only in the latter case, when a proposed TLD doesn’t fit all the conditions for automatic checking, a manual review should occur to validate or invalidate the TLD. 00:59:40 Dennis Tan: Sounds good 01:01:33 Dennis Tan: +1 Sarmad. Each TLD label (variant or not) is a different/unique entry in the root zone db 01:04:58 Al Sal: I apologize but I need to leave the meeting due to an urgent matter. Dennis will be on the meeting. I don’t want to interrupt the discussion. Thanks. 01:05:13 Dennis Tan: what is the current policy? there are countries with several IDN TLDs delegated to it due to different scripts 01:14:45 Joke Braeken: ccNSO membership is currently limited to ASCII ccTLD managers. 01:15:15 Dennis Tan: I see. Thanks, Joke 01:17:01 Michael Bauland: thanks all 01:17:07 Pitinan Kooarmornpatana - ICANN org: Thanks all
