10) Proposed Goals and Outcomes:

The conference offers a unique opportunity for outreach activities for NCUC amongst other civil society organisations namely CSISAC. OECD Ministerial Meeting on the Digital Economy: Innovation, Growth and Social Prosperity, aimed to move the digital agenda forward in four key policy areas foundational to the growth of the digital economy. Internet openness ; digital trust ; global connectivity and jobs and skills are being radically transformed. www.oecd.org/internet/ministerial/ CSISAC is the voice of civil society at the OECD's Committee on the Digital Economy Policy. They facilitate the exchange of information between the OECD and civil society participants, leading to better-informed and more widely accepted policy frameworks. CSISAC has been pursuing the Civil Society goals, achieving improved recognition of and committment to human rights standards, respect for the rule of law, privacy and data protection or consumer rights among other outcomes reflected in the Ministerial narrative. The CSISAC has been instrumental in leveling up the importance of privacy and data protection; in preserving the references to cryptography; and in alligning the Ministerial goals with the UN agenda and the NetMundial Multistakeholder Statement The forum is to be held in conjunction with the OECD Ministerial Conference "Digital Economy: Innovation, Growth and Social Prosperity", A list of CSISAC members include many civil organisations that treat with topics that NCUC treat with. The NCUC represents the interests of civil society at ICANN and would gain from the activities of CSISAC and other civil societies in attendance at the forum and conference. I have written to the organisers indicating my interest in partnering or engaging in the programme to highlight the work of the NCUC and they have replied positively seeking to slot us into any free spots that may open and also having meetings with CSISAC officials. The potential to create synergies amongst like-minded people is extremely promising. Undoubtedly there would be cross fertilisation of ideas on the issues being discussed at the conference. The opportunities to share and network are endless.
