The 18th annual meeting of the Internet Governance Forum will be hosted by the Government of Japan in Kyoto from 8 to 12 October 2023.
Plan to do*:
Before IGF2023:
Identified the list of At-Large community members who will attend and participate in IGF 2023 sessions, meetings and discussions https://community.icann.org/display/atlarge/At-Large+Outreach+Activities+at+the+2023+IGF+in+Kyoto%2C+Japan
During IGF2023:
At-Large members are encouraged to:
- give summary on the essence of discussion and conclusions after IGF sessions, plenary sessions and round tables, which they will organize, moderate, participate as speakers.
- on social media, At-Large members can publish announcements of IGF sessions in which they will take part, especially if the topics relate ICANN topics.
Proposed hashtags to use #ICANNAtLarge #AtLargeinKyoto ….
Slots at the ICANN booth (with prepared agenda) can be used for:
- Meetings of new potential community members and providing information about At-Large
- Cross RALOs coordination events
- Flash sessions for guests - about At-Large and the opportunity to join
- Inviting to participate in ICANN 78 and join (virtual or in person) ALAC sessions
- Taking pictures and posting on SocMedia and encouraging guests do same and
After IGF2023:
Highly recommend to organize cross-RALO open RoundTable and discuss the outcomes of IGF 2023 (In November 2023)
*The plan was drawn up taking into account the fact that At-Large members can be busy with their own agenda at IGF 2023 and can devote some time to the At-Large outreach and engagement campaign
