When submitting a comment that you want me to read out loud of the mic, once again provide your name and affiliation if you have one then start your sentence with a <COMMENT> and end it with <COMMENT>. Nattaporn 2: (17:59) I work with farmers in Thailand. EAI can be very useful. I wil start using in my community. It'll be difficult business wise but definitely useful. I hope we can have a small group discussion about implementing EAI in the year end iCANN meeting in Canada.

Alberto Soto: (18:14) <COMMENT> Don asked us for collaboration. For example, in LACRALO we have around 55 ALS in some 22 countries. Not all are active in LACRALO or in ALAC or in ICANN. But they are very active locally. They can reach ISP, Universities, companies, etc. It would be enough to add the ones we want with universal acceptance to achieve this collaboration
Sivasubramanian M: (18:22) Why not focus ALAC community efforts on working with major browsers and web application evironments in making the application environments UA compatible? There could also be a UA compatible certification process, passed on to broswers and environments on to websites and Apps, which would resolve the UA issues faster?
Sivasubramanian M: (18:25) Some of these tasks would require ALAC to prompt ICANN to engagewith the browser / OS companies , on an organizational level
Greg Shatan: (18:25) But everyone's heard of NYC!
Satish Babu: (18:26) @Siva, the reason is that the UASG is already mandated to work with the industry and large softwaare providers, whereas our strength is our "feet-on-the-ground" network of ALSes and members.
Sivasubramanian M: (18:27) UA comptabile certification would prompt browsers to ask websites, and prompt App environments to ask App developers whether the individual website or Phone App is UA compatibility certified.
Satish Babu: (18:27) Yes, I agree that the UASG should work on this.....
Dennis Tan (UASG): (18:29) UASG is considering a ua-certification program.. still in drawing board though
Satish Babu: (18:29) That's certainly good news, Dennis...
Sivasubramanian M: (18:29) @Satish. Nothing prevents ALAC from pressing for an Organizational initiative to create a compelling certification process. This requires the weight of ICANN and the I organizations.
Sivasubramanian M: (18:30) Jonathan was impatient to hear this.
Alberto Soto: (18:30) Yessss!!
Sivasubramanian M: (18:31) Please take this suggestion on record
Alberto Soto: (18:31) Thanks, gracias, byebye!!!!! From buenos aires at 06:31AM!!
Yesim Nazlar: (18:31) Thank you for your participation. The meeting is now adjourned.
