Executive Summary

A short executive summary, if the draft is ratified, will be placed here after the finalized document has been submitted.

The ALAC and At-Large Community (Community) made public comments on three issues:

  1. Objections and Limited Challenges/Appeal Mechanism
    1. The Community requested clarification on whether qualified Applicant Support applicants will receive financial support to file objections and how much financial support they would receive if support was provided. The Community adds that a provision is needed to allow ALAC to use ICANN provided funds to files Notice(s) of Appeal if an ALAC Objection is dismissed.
  2. Security and Stability
    1. The Community request that additional guidance regarding the new Name Collision Risk Management framework be added to the Security and Stability section of the AGB.
  3. Different TLD Types
    1. The community notes that "allocatable variants" should replace "applied-for variants", which aligns with the recommendations from the IDN-EPDP Phase 1 Final Report.

FINAL VERSION SUBMITTED (IF RATIFIED)

The final version to be submitted, if the draft is ratified, will be placed here by upon completion of the vote.

FINAL DRAFT VERSION TO BE VOTED UPON BY THE ALAC

The final draft version to be voted upon by the ALAC will be placed here before the vote is to begin.

DRAFT SUBMITTED FOR DISCUSSION

The first draft submitted will be placed here before the call for comments begins. The Draft should be preceded by the name of the person submitting the draft and the date/time. If, during the discussion, the draft is revised, the older version(S) should be left in place and the new version along with a header line identifying the drafter and date/time should be placed above the older version(s), separated by a Horizontal Rule (available + Insert More Content control).
