To whom it may concern:
Through its weekly policy discussion process, the ALAC has spent much time studying and discussing the invitation to comment on the .amazon public interest commitments. Our discussions have shown that there is a lack of consensus on this topic in our community. We wish to respect the peoples of the Amazon region and will in no way try to speak for them. We respect the fact that the processing of the .amazon string application has now concluded and that it has moved into a contracting phase.
