Dear all,
This is to inform you that on 31 March, we received an ALS application from the “Asociación Panameña de Derecho y Nuevas Tecnologías (APANDETEC)”.
It is based in the Republic of Panamá and would be a member of LACRALO, if accepted.
LACRALO must provide with regional advice for this ALS. The due date for the regional advice is the 23 May 2016, this means that our deadline for comments will be the 22 April 2016 at 23 UTC.

Se les informa que con fecha 31 de Marzo de 2016, se ha recibido la aplicación de la “Asociación Panameña de Derecho y Nuevas Tecnologías (APANDETEC)”.
Dicha entidad se encuentra ubicada en la República de Panamá y formará parte de LACRALO, en caso de ser aceptada.
LACRALO deberá proporcionar consejo regional para esta ALS. La fecha de vencimiento para este consejo vencerá el día 23 de mayo de 2016, lo cual implica que la fecha límite para comentarios será hasta el día 22 de mayo de 2016 a las 23 UTC.

              Dear Antonio, totally agree that there is a right to organize, but not 
              sufficient condition for certification as ALS. 


              Please could you explain the scope of "work for the citizens of their
              country," and therefore the work which are made by the organization 
              that is running. 


              My opinion is that the statutes must exist, although it is not necessary 
              that they are legally approved in your country. They are a very important
              source of information for any analysis.

  7. Dev Anand Teelucksingh

    Looking at APANDETEC's Facebook page, I see various posts over the past year, including meetings and recent attendance at the SSIG in 2016. The PDF of the bylaws shows their incorporation in 2003 which indicates that the name similarity between APANDETEC and IPANDETEC wasn't an issue in Panama when both organisations were registered.

    Therefore the application should be supported to bring more persons in At-Large.

    reading the questionnaire,  I have suggested to them to answer properly the second question that does not state what question 1 is asking for, though you can "read" the answer in other questions in the same questionnaire.
